The Bujinkan Kyo Dojo is under the direction of Matthew Woodard, 15th Dan Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. Mr. Woodard has been training in Budo Taijutsu for 31+ years and is a student of Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi the 34th Grandmaster of Togakure Ryu. Matt travels several times per year to Japan to train and teaches class based on the year's themes.
Hidden in plain sight, we embrace the idea that Budo taijutsu is a lifestyle, not an activity. We train near the Summerlin area of Las Vegas in the midst of a office complex. Centrally located, we make it easy for people to find us, if they're looking for us.
In addition to following the yearly theme designated out of Japan, our training philosophy is very simple - keep it basic and practical. The "kihon" basics is the foundation of the art. If a student understands correct movement and application of the basics, they can ultimately embody the confidence necessary in the midst of chaotic events.
A practical training in pursuit of matering the Basics
Historical Ninjutsu brought to life with modern applications. All historical and modern weapons taught in concert with the lessons.
